The Channel City Camera Club welcomes all people interested in photography. Founded in 1939, the club has a long history of providing photography enthusiasts with a variety of social, instructional, and recreational events. Meetings are held each month other than January, August, and December at 7:30pm in Farrand Hall at the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History. Please click on Club News above for details.
Photography exhibition are held on the first Tuesday of the month. The club provides exhibition in a variety of categories in print and digitally projected images. Local professional photographers and club members critique the images and provide constructive feedback.
Photography programs are held on the third Tuesday of the month. The subjects range from photographic techniques to digital photography and provide a learning experience as well as visual enjoyment. The speakers are experienced club members and recognized professional photographers.
The fourth Tuesday of each month is Education/Training Night. Experienced members and local photographic instructors present a topic relevant to neophyte and experienced photographers alike.
Field trips enable members to join other photographers in photographing interesting sites and viewing photographic exhibits.
The club participates in several major art exhibits in Santa Barbara displaying members’ prints in both open air and gallery environments. Our next print show is at the Meisel Gallery at the Cottage Rehab Hospital February 14th through May 16th. Click here for more information. Entries are closed.
A summer barbecue offers a relaxed social gathering for members and their families. A winter awards banquet honors members for their contribution and exhibition throughout the previous year.
